Ha Tae-kyung: "The National Assembly Must Not Stand By During North Korea's Provocations... Joo Ho-young Should Return"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the Future United Party, requested the return of Floor Leader Joo Ho-young, stating that the National Assembly should not just stand by in the face of North Korea's provocations. He also called for attending the three major foreign affairs and security standing committees (Defense Committee, Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee, Intelligence Committee) to discuss bipartisan measures.
On the 17th, Ha said on Facebook, "While the anti-democratic violence of the Democratic Party of Korea is unacceptable, national security, which concerns the lives and safety of the people, is a more important issue and a higher value."
He added, "The public is greatly worried due to North Korea's threats and provocations. The political sphere has the responsibility to show a united front and alleviate the public's concerns. The United Party, as a security party, must take the lead. It is irresponsible to always emphasize security in normal times but do nothing when a security crisis occurs."
