Gwangju City to Hold AI Talent Recruitment Briefing on the 18th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 16th that it will hold an AI talent recruitment briefing session for creating Gwangju-type AI jobs at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center on the 18th.
The upcoming talent recruitment briefing session will be jointly attended by 25 organizations, including the AI Industry Convergence Project Group established to build a ‘Gwangju-type AI business foundation,’ AI-attracting companies in Gwangju, and local AI specialized companies.

They plan to hire approximately 220 AI professionals.
At this recruitment briefing session, major domestic AI specialized companies will introduce key employment-related information such as recruitment schedules and procedures directly to local high school and university students, as well as job seekers, aiming to provide job opportunities for youth in the Gwangju area and recruit outstanding talent.
In particular, this event marks the first step toward creating an ‘AI-centered city Gwangju’ industrial ecosystem with Gwangju-attracting companies such as TmaxSoft, Hancom Group, Namu Technology, Saltlux, and local AI companies. It is expected to serve as a signal for AI talent development and the creation of Gwangju-type AI jobs.
Meanwhile, Gwangju City held a vision declaration ceremony on January 29 to realize the ‘AI-centered city Gwangju’ and launched the AI Industry Convergence Project Group. It has been tirelessly working to build the AI industrial ecosystem in Gwangju through business agreements with 14 AI specialized companies including Incord, TmaxSoft, Hancom Group, Namu Technology, and Saltlux, and the opening of seven Gwangju corporations and offices.
