Gwangju Seo-gu 'Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group' Launch Ceremony
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 16th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 'Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group.'
The Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group, consisting of about 30 residents from each neighborhood in Seo-gu, holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of every month.
The participation group carries out activities such as monitoring education on key policies and urban spaces necessary for creating a women-friendly city, participating in gender equality events, and conducting on-site inspections of women-friendly companies.
At the inauguration ceremony, appointment letters were awarded to new citizen participants, and guidance was provided on the direction of the women-friendly city creation project and this year's activity plans for the citizen participation group.
