Hwasun-gun Conducts Nationwide Cleanup in Preparation for Summer Holiday Season
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 16th that it has been conducting a large-scale cleanup targeting natural tourist sites such as waterfalls since the 15th in preparation for the summer vacation season.
The large-scale cleanup will be carried out until the 3rd of next month, targeting 18 locations including Manyeon Waterfall in Hwasun-eup, which are natural tourist sites frequented by many vacationers during the summer.
This cleanup will not be conducted jointly with local private organizations due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and compliance with quarantine guidelines.
Instead, each military department, division, and office, as well as each eup and myeon administrative welfare center, will designate responsible areas and carry out the cleanup according to local conditions.
The county has designated the period until the end of August as the "Summer Vacation Season Waste Intensive Management Period" and plans to deploy 15 dedicated cleaning personnel to natural tourist sites.
