This event aims to rediscover history by finding firefighting-related relics in connection with the Cultural Heritage Administration's project to list modern and contemporary cultural heritage in the field of fire safety.
The target relics include anything related to firefighting, regardless of type, from documents, photos, uniforms, to small badges and fire trucks.
To participate, owners or related persons of firefighting-related relics used from the modern opening of ports (1876) to the 1980s can register photos and brief descriptions on the relic reporting site established by the National Fire Agency and the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute.
After the event ends, experts will evaluate the historical value of the relics, and about 180 participants will receive a small prize.
