SC Jeil Bank, "Join Samsung Card Partnership Savings and Enjoy 7% Annual Interest Benefits"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SC First Bank announced on the 15th that it is conducting a subscription event for the ‘Wealth-Building Savings Set - 7% Crazy Benefits,’ offering up to approximately 7% annual interest rate benefits to the first 4,000 customers in collaboration with Samsung Card.
This event adds up to 5.4 percentage points of cashback benefits on top of the basic interest rate of 1.6% per annum for the SC First Household Savings (regular installment savings).
The event targets customers who are either first-time Samsung Card users or those who have not used a Samsung credit card in the past six months. The savings subscription period is 12 months, and customers can choose a monthly deposit amount of either 100,000 KRW or 250,000 KRW. The additional cashback benefit is available when customers newly issue a Samsung credit card affiliated with the bank and spend at least 300,000 KRW per month (or 3.6 million KRW annually).
Participation in the event is possible through the SC First Bank mobile banking application (app), website, or branches. Cashback amounts will be paid on the 15th of the month following the maturity of the savings account; however, if the account is terminated early, the early termination interest rate will apply, and cashback benefits will not be provided. Also, even if multiple savings accounts are opened, cashback benefits are provided only once. The event period runs until August 14.
