Haenam-gun, Jeonnam-style COVID-19 Emergency Living Expense Support
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 12th that it will provide Jeonnam-type COVID-19 emergency living expenses amounting to 5.2482 billion KRW to 15,961 households in the jurisdiction.
The county conducted an investigation on a total of 24,767 households that applied for the Jeonnam-type COVID-19 emergency living expenses support from April 7 to the 29th of last month, selecting 15,961 eligible households as recipients.
Additionally, following Jeollanam-do guidelines, the application deadline was extended until the 12th, during which 37 more applicants were received and are currently under review.
With the support recipients finalized, payments have been made in 7 rounds since April 20, and the 8th round will be available for collection starting on the 16th. The eligible recipients are notified via text messages from their respective towns and townships, and the collection deadline is August 31.
Household heads notified as recipients can collect the funds at the local Nonghyup (Agricultural Cooperative) in their registered resident area. If a household member collects on behalf of the head, a proxy receipt confirmation form must be obtained from the respective town or township office and presented.
The payment amounts are 300,000 KRW for 1-2 person households, 400,000 KRW for 3-4 person households, and 500,000 KRW for households with 5 or more members, paid in Haenam Love Gift Certificates.
The Jeonnam-type COVID-19 emergency living support fund is provided to households with income at or below 100% of the median income standard, considering income criteria and whether similar support funds have been received to avoid duplication.
