Police Apply Arrest Warrant for Man in His 40s Over Random Assault at Bus Stop
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 40s who committed a 'random assault' on two women he did not even know was caught by the police.
On the 12th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges of injury.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting two women at a bus stop in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, around 12:10 a.m. on the 10th. He was arrested on the spot as a suspect caught in the act.
Mr. A reportedly hit one woman saying, "Why are you touching my socks?" and when another woman, who was friends with the first, tried to stop him, he assaulted her as well. The victims sustained injuries to their faces and received medical diagnoses requiring two weeks of treatment.
