Eunpyeong-gu 'Ihocheol Tongillo Literature Award' Website Launched
Practicing Peace through Literature Awards: Glocality in Action
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has launched and will operate the official website of the Eunpyeong-gu representative cultural project "Lee Ho-cheol Unification Road Literary Award," which spreads a message of peace through literature, starting from the 15th.
The "Lee Ho-cheol Unification Road Literary Award" is an international literary award inspired by the spirit of the writer Lee Ho-cheol, a master of division literature who has been active in Eunpyeong-gu for 50 years. It is awarded to global writers who strive for peace on a planetary scale through literary efforts.
The newly launched website was established to systematically organize the achievements accumulated over three years since its inauguration in 2017 and to share them with people worldwide, thereby creating an online platform to expand its reach as an international award.
The website address is the English abbreviation of the literary award, ‘llpp.kr’, and it consists of menus such as ▲Introduction to the Literary Award, ▲Progress, ▲Past Winners, and ▲Archive.
Visitors can not only learn about the values and goals embodied by the literary award but also access the progress and various published materials and content so far.
An official from the district stated, “We expect that the website will provide unrestricted access convenience to people around the world. We hope it will serve as an opportunity to widely promote the purpose and activities of the Lee Ho-cheol Unification Road Literary Award.”
