"Lessons Also Untact" U+Golf Adds Swing Video Feature
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus announced on the 12th that it has added the ‘My Swing Video Lesson’ feature to its golf broadcasting service ‘U+Golf,’ allowing users to shoot swing videos and apply for events to receive direct lessons from commentators during KLPGA tournament broadcasts all in one place.
Since last season, U+Golf has been operating a lesson corner called ‘Show Me The Swing,’ where commentators analyze and coach swing videos sent by customers during the exclusive broadcast of popular players in KLPGA tournaments. Previously, videos were submitted via email and KakaoTalk open chat, but with the ‘My Swing Video Lesson’ feature, users can now shoot and apply for lessons directly through the U+Golf app.
In ‘My Swing Video Lesson,’ customers can shoot and edit their swing videos. The feature provides slow-motion shooting and composition guideline functions during recording. The recorded videos can be uploaded to Instagram, KakaoTalk, KakaoStory, Facebook, and other SNS platforms through the sharing function. When applying for expert lessons provided during the exclusive KLPGA broadcasts, up to three videos can be attached.

Additionally, U+Golf improved user convenience related to golf VOD viewing by reflecting customer feedback. It added a ‘background playback’ feature that allows users to enjoy audio without interruption even when running other apps during live channels and VOD viewing. It also enhanced viewing convenience with features such as ‘continuous playback’ of golf VOD and a ‘different video list’ function that allows users to switch to other videos immediately while watching. Kim Min-gu, head of mobile services at LG Uplus, said, “With the ‘My Swing Video Lesson’ feature, customers can now easily and conveniently receive reliable one-point golf lessons remotely from experts at home,” adding, “We will continue to consider various functions tailored to the untact trend.”
