Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Local Government Employee Written Exam to be Held on the 13th
Double Temperature Checks and Mandatory Masks for All Staff to Ensure Thorough COVID-19 Prevention
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 11th that it will conduct the "2020 Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Local Government Employee Written Examination" on the 13th.
A total of 2,042 applicants applied for the local government employee recruitment exam, which will select 70 people.
The exam locations are Jeonnam Technical High School, Gwangju Technical High School, and Wolbong Middle School, totaling three locations. Exam rooms for disabled applicants will provide conveniences such as extended time.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, both supervisors and applicants will undergo dual temperature checks to ensure safety.
Applicants must arrive at the exam venue by 9:20 a.m. for this purpose. The temperature check will be conducted first with a non-contact thermometer, followed by a thermal imaging camera for the second check. After the temperature check, applicants must wear a colored sticker given as a confirmation mark on their chest until the exam ends.
Additionally, all applicants must continuously wear masks at the exam site and practice social distancing in all situations. Applicants showing COVID-19 symptoms such as high fever or cough can take the exam in a separate room after filling out a health questionnaire.
To maintain social distancing, the main entrance of the exam venue will be unified, and after the exam ends, applicants will be guided to leave in order from the 2nd floor, 3rd floor, to the 4th floor.
The exam rooms will be ventilated before and after the exam, and door handles in the exam rooms and restrooms will be disinfected regularly. Applicants must use hand sanitizer every time they enter the exam room. Furthermore, the Office of Education has advised all applicants to bring personal drinking water due to concerns about infectious disease transmission from using shared water fountains.
