Naju-si and KEPCO KDN Launch 'Excellent Agricultural Products Purchase Campaign'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 11th that it will carry out the ‘Excellent Agricultural Products Purchase Campaign’ together with KEPCO KDN (President Park Seong-cheol) to help local farms struggling due to COVID-19.
This agricultural products purchase campaign is part of overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and will be held every Friday (12:00 PM to 2:00 PM) from the 22nd of last month until the 27th at the first-floor lobby of KEPCO KDN.
The city operates a tasting corner to promote healthy local food to employees and citizens, aiming to purchase agricultural products worth 500,000 KRW weekly (a total of 3 million KRW) at KEPCO KDN upon recommendation of agricultural products.
The main agricultural product items include chamoe (Korean melon) and glutinous rice sikhye (sweet rice drink) (week 1), flowers and gochujang-based processed foods (week 2), and Seji melon and mountain goat milk (week 3). So far, approximately 4.8 million KRW worth of sales have been achieved through on-site purchases and delivery services.
In the week 4 event, garlic and glutinous rice sikhye items will be showcased.
