Gwangyang-si Holds On-site Meeting for Innovation and Survival of Manufacturing Industry
Visit to Jeonnam's Representative Smart Pilot Factory, SLP Co., Ltd.
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 10th that it held a meeting on the 9th to visit SLP Co., Ltd., a representative smart pilot factory in Jeonnam, to review the achievements of smart factory construction and discuss development plans.
The meeting was organized to visit the manufacturing site together with company representatives and employees, members of the 4th Industrial Revolution Committee, Jeonnam Technopark Corporate Support Group, and Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce and Industry to encourage workers, listen to on-site voices related to smart factories, and reflect suggestions from companies and related organizations in policies.
The representatives and employees attending the meeting expressed gratitude for the support provided so far and requested various policies, including customized smart factory construction support consulting tailored to each industry.
Gwangyang Mayor Jung Hyun-bok sympathized with these suggestions and expressed his intention to actively support policies. He also stated, “The construction of smart factories is an essential project to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to make Gwangyang a city favorable for businesses.”
