Prime Minister Jeong Organizes Thursday Dialogue for Public Communication... Listening to Social Changes and Real-World Issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun will hold Thursday dialogues to hear the vivid voices of ordinary citizens regarding social changes and various real-life issues following the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the Prime Minister's Office on the 8th, Prime Minister Chung will listen to the voices of youth and middle-aged groups in two sessions on the 11th and 18th.
Until now, the six Thursday dialogues were held to hear expert opinions by field on the new normal after COVID-19. However, the 7th Thursday dialogue (The Future of the Republic of Korea, Listening to the Youth) will listen to the vivid voices of 2030 youth from various fields such as young lawmakers, university students, and job seekers about changes in life after COVID-19, employment, career paths, marriage, childcare, housing, and seek solutions.
Also, on the 18th, the 8th session will meet with people in their 40s and 50s around us, including office workers, parents, and housewives, to directly hear the hardships and wishes felt by real-life individuals regarding housing, labor, childcare, and education issues.
Furthermore, at the end of this month, there will be a session to summarize the discussions and achievements of the six Thursday dialogues held so far on the theme of post-COVID.
Thereafter, Thursday dialogues will be held regularly on issues such as labor-management-government communication for building trust, ruling and opposition political parties, local governments, the Korean New Deal, regulatory innovation, and other current social issues.
