Gyeongbuk Gyeongsan-si, 3-Month Reduction on River Occupation Fees... Refunds Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsan City, Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 5th that it will promote a 25% reduction (3 months' worth) in river occupancy fees for 2020 to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnated due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The city explained that this measure is to alleviate the burden on citizens struggling due to COVID-19 by broadly interpreting the reduction criteria of the 'River Act.' The beneficiaries are about 1,000 cases of individual cultivators and private businesses (approximately 70 million KRW in reductions). Public institutions and public enterprises are excluded from the reduction targets.
The refund application period is until the end of the year. Detailed information can be found on the city hall website.
