[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] A woman in her 70s who came into contact with a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with an unknown infection route in Incheon has tested positive.
Incheon City announced on the 3rd that A (73, female), who lives in Ganseok 2-dong, Namdong-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
It was investigated that A was infected by B (48, female), a resident of Michuhol-gu who tested positive for COVID-19 on the 2nd.
The infection route of B is still unknown, according to reports.
After B was confirmed positive for COVID-19, A underwent testing at the Namdong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic and was confirmed positive, then transferred to Seonam Hospital in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.
On the 31st of last month, A took the subway and visited a church and a restaurant in Namdong-gu, and on the 1st, she was also found to have visited Seoul using a village bus and subway.
It was confirmed that A took the subway to Seoul even after being tested for COVID-19 at the Namdong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic.
It was confirmed that A was wearing a mask when visiting Seoul and other areas.
