View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] A woman in her 40s residing in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, who entered from Mexico, has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Gangnam-gu, Seoul announced on the 31st that resident A (45, female) in Daechi-dong was additionally confirmed positive for COVID-19.
It was confirmed that Ms. A, who had been staying in Mexico since March, tested positive after arriving on Korean Air in the early morning of the 30th of this month.
Ms. A arrived at Incheon Airport at 4:30 AM and moved to her home at 6:40 AM. She underwent specimen testing at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center at 12:00 PM and returned home at 12:40 PM.
The final positive test result was released at 8:00 AM that day.
A Gangnam-gu official stated, "There were no movements within the district except at home after arrival," and added, "Thorough disinfection and sterilization are being conducted at places visited by the confirmed case, and contacts are being identified for specimen testing and self-quarantine measures."
