19th COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Jeonnam... 50-Year-Old Woman Entered from Russia
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Jeonnam Province announced on the 30th that a Korean woman in her 50s who entered from Russia was confirmed as the 19th COVID-19 case in the province.
The woman, who had been dispatched to work in Russia since February this year, entered Incheon International Airport from Vladivostok Airport, Russia, on the 28th of this month as COVID-19 spread recently. Afterward, she used the KTX overseas arrivals exclusive car at Gwangmyeong Station to enter a temporary testing facility operated by Jeonnam Province, and received a final positive diagnosis the previous evening.
The woman is currently hospitalized in a negative pressure room at Gangjin Medical Center and is reported to have no particular symptoms.
Eight people, including her younger sibling and five coworkers who work at the same company and entered the country together, as well as two overseas arrivals who shared the ride from Gwangmyeong Station to the testing facility, tested negative in diagnostic tests. The contacts are under self-quarantine measures.
