This insurance guarantees hospitalization consolation money for diseases occurring within 3 months after enrollment, and can be subscribed to by those aged 7 to 18 years old.
Subscribers can choose between the premium and standard plans. The premium plan provides consolation money of 50,000 KRW per day for hospitalization up to a maximum of 120 days per incident, and 100,000 KRW per day for intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization up to a maximum of 180 days per incident. The standard plan offers 30,000 KRW per day for hospitalization and 50,000 KRW per day for ICU hospitalization.
Hospitalization consolation money and ICU hospitalization consolation money can be overlapped, so if hospitalized in the ICU, up to 150,000 KRW per day is covered. Additionally, this product can be overlapped with other actual expense insurance. The premium is paid only once at the time of subscription. For a 13-year-old boy, the premium is 7,770 KRW for the premium plan and 4,650 KRW for the standard plan. For a girl, it is 7,590 KRW for the premium plan and 4,540 KRW for the standard plan.
This insurance targets students who want to prepare for periods of high disease risk such as infectious diseases but find long-term insurance burdensome.
