Gyeongnam Province Promotes Gyeongnam-style New Deal Through Sharing Economy ... Solving Social Issues
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 25th that it will promote the 'Designation and Activation Support Project for Sharing Organizations and Companies' to encourage private sharing activities and revitalize the sharing economy.
This project, implemented for the first time this year, will evaluate organizations and companies that solve social problems through sharing economy activities, designate them as Gyeongnam sharing organizations for three years, and provide benefits such as 'qualification to apply for activation support projects, promotion of sharing economy businesses, and incentives for future sharing economy projects.'
In particular, to integrate with Gyeongnam-type New Deal projects such as the Green New Deal and Social New Deal, which the province is focusing on, it plans to actively support organizations and companies that contribute to solving environmental and social issues.
Additionally, the sharing economy activation support project will select those that solve problems related to the economy such as economic recession and youth employment; welfare issues such as disabilities and youth housing; cultural fields such as cultural exclusion and lack of tourism accommodation facilities; environmental issues such as pollution and resource waste; transportation issues such as traffic congestion and lack of parking facilities; education issues such as educational gaps and lack of educational facilities; and community issues such as low birthrate and aging through sharing activities.
Selected organizations or companies will receive up to 20 million KRW, with a total of 70 million KRW in project funds for promotion and marketing expenses, prototype development costs, event expenses, and more.
Applications are open to organizations and companies that have solved social problems through the sharing economy and have had sharing economy performance within the province for more than six months recently. Applicants must prepare an application form, sharing economy activity performance data, and a business plan, and submit them to the Gyeongnam Social Economy Promotion Team by the 10th of next month.
