Infraware's 'Polaris Office' Surpasses 100 Million Global Subscribers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Infraware's cloud-based office software 'Polaris Office' announced on the 25th that it has surpassed 100 million global subscribers six years after its service launch.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), non-face-to-face (untact) work such as remote work, online classes, and video conferences has increased, leading to a noticeable rise in new and paid subscribers.
New subscribers increased by more than 70% compared to January, and paid subscribers surged nearly 140% year-on-year. As untact environments like remote work and online classes become the 'new normal,' demand is expected to continue growing steadily.
An Infraware official stated, "It is very rare for domestic collaboration tool services to have over 100 million global subscribers," adding, "We plan to actively utilize this important asset called the 'global 100 million network' to offer various platform businesses that provide new value to users."
He continued, "With the establishment of an online collaboration culture due to COVID-19, the collaboration tool market is rapidly growing," and said, "We will provide services in various ways to enhance work efficiency in untact environments."
To celebrate surpassing 100 million global subscribers, Infraware is conducting a daily lottery selecting 10,000 winners to receive a 3-month free subscription to 'Polaris Office Pro,' along with various prize events including the latest Galaxy S20 and AirPods. A promotion offering up to 50% discount on Polaris Office products is also underway. Prize events and discount promotions can be checked on the official Polaris Office website.
Polaris Office is an office software that gains more than 50,000 new subscribers daily on average. It supports all document files including MS Office formats such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Hangul (HWP), PDF, ODF, and TXT on both PC and mobile. Overseas subscribers from countries such as the United States, Mexico, Germany, and Italy account for 83% of the total.
