One Daegu Agricultural Meister High School Student Tests Positive for COVID-19... School Closure Implemented

According to Daegu City and the City Office of Education on the 21st, one student at Daegu Agricultural Meister High School tested positive for COVID-19 and was placed in isolation. Health authorities plan to transfer this asymptomatic student to a hospital.
The City Office of Education closed the dormitory and school immediately after the positive test result was confirmed and sent all 111 students home.
The students of this school entered the school dormitory as a group on the 19th and underwent diagnostic testing the following day. Fifteen classmates and six staff members who had contact with the confirmed student were isolated in single rooms in the dormitory and tested negative.

A Daegu city official stated, "We plan to conduct comprehensive testing before dormitory admission for 3,592 enrolled students across 27 high schools operating dormitories," and added, "We are identifying people who may have had contact with the confirmed student through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and surveys."
