Lotte Homeshopping "This Year's 19th Anniversary Ceremony to be Held 'Non-Face-to-Face'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Lotte Homeshopping celebrated its 19th anniversary on the 21st of this month amid the COVID-19 pandemic by conducting an internal communication event called ‘Fighting! Have a Drink’ in a non-face-to-face manner.
Started in April 2016, ‘Fighting! Have a Drink’ is a corporate culture program at Lotte Homeshopping where executives, including the CEO, encourage employees by handing out refreshments as they arrive at work.
This event, held to mark the 19th anniversary, was planned with the concept of an ‘untact birthday party’ considering the COVID-19 situation. Snacks such as birthday rice cakes and sweet rice drink (sikhye) were individually delivered to all employees, who then celebrated at their own desks. Additionally, congratulatory messages were shared through the company broadcast, and awards were individually presented to 52 long-term employees at their respective seats.
Going forward, Lotte Homeshopping plans to develop and implement various organizational culture programs to overcome anxiety and boost morale, anticipating the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
