7-Eleven Launches 'Coconut Soft' by Vietnamese Kong Cafe
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Now you can enjoy the taste of Vietnam's representative cafe brand 'Cong Cafe' even at convenience stores.
Seven Eleven announced on the 21st that it has exclusively launched 'Coconut Soft (2,500 won)', a soft ice cream version of Cong Cafe's signature menu 'Coconut Smoothie Coffee', at 200 major stores in the Seoul metropolitan area.
Seven Eleven's 'Coconut Soft' is a product that combines sweet and soft coconut soft ice cream with slightly bitter coffee, developed in collaboration with 'Green Egg F&B', which holds the official license for the Cong Cafe brand in Korea.
Using a dedicated machine to extract coconut soft by inserting an ice capsule, it is an affogato-type ice cream product topped with the Vietnamese-style Americano 'Vinacano' liquid. Customers can adjust the coffee flavor according to their personal preference and enjoy the fun of making it themselves.
As the ice cream peak season begins with the arrival of summer, and with the recent dessert craze and the trend of soft cones rising, Seven Eleven expects particularly high demand among female customers.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of 'Coconut Soft', Seven Eleven will hold a free 'Kancho' giveaway event for customers who purchase the product throughout June.
