Sunchang-gun Concludes the '2020 Rural Landscape Improvement' Project... Final Chapter
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-jin] Sunchang-gun's '2020 Scenic Rural Village Development' project has come to an end.
This project aimed to improve residents' quality of life through enhancing the residential environment and increasing income by creating landscapes around rural villages and planting trees in idle village spaces.
With a total project cost of over 110 million KRW, approximately 25,000 plants including crape myrtle and Lycoris radiata were planted in the Sinheung Village area, and benches were installed to provide residents with comfortable resting spots.
Additionally, near the project site lies the historically valuable fortress called Hammiseong, built during the Three Kingdoms period. It is expected that if developed as a cultural asset in the future, it will serve as a special resting place for external tourists.
