[Public Notice+] CareLabs "Remote Medical Platform 'Goodoc' Fully Acquired as a Wholly Owned Subsidiary... Maximizing Corporate Value and Pursuing IPO"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CareLabs, a mobile health and beauty care platform specialist, announced on the 18th that it will pursue a physical division of its healthcare business unit, 'Goodoc.' By incorporating 'Goodoc,' which has established an unrivaled industry-leading position as a remote medical platform service, as a 100% wholly owned subsidiary, the company aims to guarantee business independence and accelerate growth, ultimately pursuing an initial public offering (IPO) in the future.
CareLabs cited the explosive global growth of the non-face-to-face healthcare industry following the recent COVID-19 pandemic as the background for this physical division. As the 'Goodoc' service is preparing to enter the global market, the company plans to use this division as a turning point to strengthen business independence and enhance corporate value by establishing a more efficient management decision-making structure, expanding opportunities to participate in public projects, and leveraging policy advantages unique to unlisted companies such as investment and R&D.
A CareLabs representative stated, “Through this physical division, CareLabs plans to maximize the profitable growth of its beauty care and digital marketing businesses. Since Goodoc will also be incorporated as a 100% wholly owned subsidiary, it will have an independent business domain and maximize growth potential, serving as a key pillar that highlights CareLabs’ corporate value.”
The newly established company 'Goodoc,' which will be spun off, plans to actively continue its business activities in domestic and international digital and non-face-to-face medical services, including remote medical care, and aims to pursue a separate IPO within three years.

Goodoc’s remote medical service has the largest number of affiliated hospitals and clinics in Korea, and as of April, the cumulative number of non-face-to-face tablet hospital reception service uses surpassed 10 million. Especially amid the recent COVID-19 pandemic, with global attention focused on 'K-Health,' Goodoc received a request from KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) for a meeting with Mexican companies to respond to COVID-19.
