Pulmuone Launches DIY Concept Bean Sprout Mix and Stir-Fry Sauce for Easy Stir-Fry Cooking
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Sunghye] Recently, as products related to ‘hometainment’ for the ‘homebody’ crowd have been gaining popularity, Pulmuone has newly launched DIY concept stir-fry products.
On the 15th, Pulmuone Foods announced the release of three types of pre-prepared mung bean sprout mixes that can be stir-fried immediately: ‘Crispy Mung Bean Sprout Mix for Multipurpose Stir-fry,’ ‘Southeast Asian Style Stir-fry Mix,’ and ‘Chinese Style Stir-fry Mix,’ along with two stir-fry sauces: ‘Garlic Oyster Sauce Stir-fry Sauce & Toppings’ and ‘Mala Xiang Guo Stir-fry Sauce & Toppings.’
The ‘Crispy Mung Bean Sprout Mix’ and ‘Stir-fry Sauce & Toppings’ are products aimed at ‘one-pan’ cooking that can be completed with just a frying pan. Unlike typical meal kits, these feature a DIY concept allowing consumers to customize each ingredient according to their preferences.
Overseas, various vegetable mix products for stir-frying are popular, and offline stores arrange product displays by grouping stir-fry related items (vegetable mixes, sauces, noodles, meat, etc.). Referring to overseas cases, Pulmuone plans to expand its stir-fry product line in the future, increasing consumer choices with mixes of seasoned vegetables, sauces, noodles, and more.
The main ingredient of the Crispy Mung Bean Sprout Mix, mung bean sprouts, are cultivated to be thick and short for stir-fry use, providing an excellent crispy texture. All mung bean sprouts and various vegetables are pre-prepared and packaged to reduce consumer hassle.
The Multipurpose Stir-fry Mix contains mung bean sprouts, carrots, and chives; the Chinese Style Stir-fry Mix includes mung bean sprouts, carrots, bok choy, and cabbage; and the Southeast Asian Style Stir-fry Mix has mung bean sprouts, carrots, and cabbage, allowing consumers to choose according to their desired dish.
Cooking becomes even easier when paired with the stir-fry sauces. The two types of stir-fry sauces consist of cooking sauces and toppings, enabling consumers to easily complete professional-style mung bean sprout stir-fry dishes. The Garlic Oyster Sauce Stir-fry adds umami flavor, while the Mala Xiang Guo Stir-fry provides a fiery spiciness, enhancing the dish’s overall quality.

Without using both products simultaneously, consumers can stir-fry the mung bean sprout mix with commercially available oyster sauce or salt and pepper, or create ‘my own dish’ by adding cooking sauces and various ingredients. It is also great for making side dishes or drinking snacks by creatively incorporating various meats, seafood, or other ingredients from the refrigerator.
