Gyeongnam Sacheon Sea Cable Car Renovated... "Sharing Memories Through the Slow Mailbox!"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] The Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that it has renovated the 'Slow Mailbox' located on the second-floor outdoor terrace of Gaksan Station at Sacheon Sea Cable Car.
The Slow Mailbox was planned in 2018 when the sea cable car opened, with the hope of offering a special gift that allows modern people, who live their days breathlessly, to feel the leisure of waiting and recall old memories from the sea cable car.
So far, a total of about 30,000 postcards have been collected, and at its peak, about 3,500 postcards were received in a month, showing great popularity. However, since there was only a small desk without a chair, visitors have complained of inconvenience whenever they wrote postcards.
The newly renovated Slow Mailbox was designed with the concept of a 'nostalgic elementary school,' featuring a chalkboard-shaped guide sign and three colorful desks for elementary school students.
