Chonnam National University Hosts the 'Council of Presidents of Leading National Universities'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chonnam National University announced on the 11th that it held the second meeting of the Council of Presidents of National Universities with Regional Campuses this year on the 8th.
At the meeting, presidents from nine national universities with regional campuses, Seoul National University, the Director of Higher Education Policy at the Ministry of Education, and the Secretary-General of the Korea Council for University Education attended.
During the meeting, they discussed common issues such as the treatment of part-time lecturers, the revision of the National School Establishment Decree, the employment burden payment system for disabled public officials, and compensation for losses and expenses due to COVID-19, agreeing to continue consultations with the Ministry of Education on improvement measures.
The next meeting is scheduled to be held at Kyungpook National University in August, and if circumstances do not permit, it will be conducted via video conference.
