Microtech Signs 38 Billion KRW Supply Contract for Nano Masks
Additional Supply Contract in Progress
Equivalent to 634% of Recent Sales Revenue
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Microtech is officially starting its nano mask business.
Microtech announced on the 11th that it has signed an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supply contract worth 38 billion KRW with Entucell for the production of nano masks. This amount corresponds to 634% of recent sales revenue. The supply period is until December 31.
The product Microtech will supply is the nano mask BREATH SQUARE, which gained attention after being worn by BTS. It is a mask using nanofilter fibers and has received safety certification in Japan. It is currently sold under its own brand "Breath" in over 500 stores across Japan, including Tokyu Hands, Don Quijote, and Loft.
Entucell is a nano healthcare specialized company recently acquired by Microtech through share acquisition. This year, it has already secured export contracts worth approximately 150 billion KRW for the BREATH SQUARE masks.
A Microtech official explained, "Despite additional contract requests, we are adjusting the contract timing considering production capacity (CAPA)" and added, "We are reviewing the expansion of production facilities."
If Microtech expands its production facilities, it is expected that Microtech will produce both existing volumes and new contract volumes. The produced products are being supplied rapidly worldwide.
