GS25 Partners with 'Volvik' to Transform into a Specialized Golf Equipment Platform

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] GS Retail has signed a strategic business agreement with Volvik, a leading domestic golf brand, and will exclusively introduce Volvik's major golf products at the convenience store GS25 on the 21st.
The Volvik products exclusively introduced by GS25 this time include a total of six items, including ▲two types of premium VIVID color golf balls, ▲golf gloves, and ▲Lignum tees, with four types of golf equipment, and these products will be displayed on a dedicated golf equipment shelf.
Starting with the full-scale rollout of dedicated golf equipment shelves at GS25 stores nationwide this year, GS25 plans to collaborate with Volvik to develop GS25-exclusive golf products and expand golf equipment hybrid stores centered around key stores near golf courses.
The reason GS25 decided to newly establish and strategically strengthen the golf equipment category is due to the popularization of golf, which has led to a rapid increase in the domestic golf population. In fact, the domestic golf population has reached 7.61 million, about three times more than 10 years ago.
GS25 expects that by proactively introducing and intensively nurturing the golf equipment category, it will significantly enhance the purchasing convenience for the golf population, and through this, it also anticipates generating new customers and increasing profits for franchise stores.
Volvik golf products will be sequentially introduced not only at the convenience store GS25 but also at the supermarket GS THE FRESH and the health and beauty store Lalavla.
