Naju-si Hosts 'Audience-Free Cultural Arts' Performances on YouTube Channel
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Han-hyuk Lee] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) is presenting a 'no-audience online video performance' to alleviate the cultural thirst of citizens caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the city on the 8th, to satisfy the cultural needs of citizens whose cultural activities have been restricted due to social distancing measures in daily life and to support local artists' activities, they planned a 'culture and arts event that heals the mind, meeting in the living room' using the official YouTube channel.
To watch the videos, access the YouTube link or search for Naju City in the YouTube search bar (change the search filter to 'Channel'), then press the subscribe button and enter the channel.
The performance video content involves the city choir, artists participating in the old downtown residence project, and members of various local cultural and artistic organizations, who will produce and post videos regularly until the end of COVID-19.
The city choir will perform a small-scale choir concert under the theme 'Wise Cultural Life Home Concert,' featuring solo, ensemble, and choir performances that can be enjoyed diversely from home.
Local artists participating in the residence project will also showcase their honed talents and skills through various video contents in cultural and artistic fields, including musical instrument performances.
Recently, the official YouTube channel posted the first videos of local artists playing the 'pan flute' and 'saxophone.'
The city choir also posted the first home concert video on the 4th under the theme of 'Comfort and Empathy.'
The choir comforted citizens exhausted by COVID-19 by delivering beautiful harmonies with songs such as 'People Who Bring Happiness,' 'Dream of the Goose,' and 'Don't Worry.'
