Minsaeng Party: "Ahn Cheol-soo Merging with the Korean Party Is Not Strange"
“An, egocentric and arbitrary... should refrain from nonsensical political language”
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 7th, the Minsaeng Party criticized the possibility of forming a coalition negotiation group between the Future Korea Party and the People’s Party, saying, “Based on the example of the founding of the Bareunmirae Party, it would not be so strange if Ahn Cheol-soo, the leader of the People’s Party, decides to merge with the Korea Party.”
Lee Yeon-gi, spokesperson for the Minsaeng Party, said in a statement that day, “Although Leader Ahn always insists that he has never been inconsistent, those who have shared a meal with him cannot help but laugh,” adding, “He is always self-centered and arbitrary.”
The spokesperson pointed out, “Even in evaluating the election results, it is the same. While saying ‘the will of the people is the will of heaven,’ he insists on defining ‘this general election not as the ruling party’s victory but as the opposition’s defeat.’ He seems ready to exclude the public sentiment that sympathizes with the ruling party’s victory from the will of heaven. This is at the level of Hwang Kyo-ahn, former leader of the Future United Party, who cursed the election results as a path to national ruin and then left.”

Lee added, “Of course, we do not care who Leader Ahn joins hands with. However, we hope he refrains from using nonsensical political language that distorts reality or arbitrarily interprets public sentiment. We also hope he reflects at least once on the heavy political responsibility that has made even mentioning new politics burdensome.”
