Gokseong-gun, Transition to COVID-19 Social Distancing in Daily Life
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 7th, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will end social distancing and transition to distancing in daily life in accordance with the government's policy.
Distancing in daily life is a balanced approach to preventing and blocking infections while maintaining daily life and economic activities in preparation for the prolonged spread of COVID-19.
The distancing in daily life guidelines can be broadly divided into personal quarantine and collective quarantine. Personal quarantine is further divided into five core rules and four supplementary rules. The five core rules are ▲Stay home for 3-4 days if you are sick ▲Maintain a healthy distance of two arm lengths between people ▲Wash hands for 30 seconds, cough into your sleeve ▲Ventilate twice a day or more, disinfect regularly ▲Keep your heart close even if the distance is far. The four supplementary rules are ▲Wearing masks, ▲Environmental disinfection, ▲Living rules for seniors aged 65 and over and high-risk groups, ▲Healthy lifestyle habits.
The collective quarantine that individuals and communities must follow also consists of five core rules: ▲Communities work together ▲Designate a quarantine manager within the community ▲Create and follow community quarantine guidelines ▲Quarantine managers actively perform their roles ▲Community leaders and members actively cooperate with the quarantine manager. In addition, 31 detailed guidelines to be followed by each facility have been established.
Compliance with distancing in daily life guidelines is basically a recommendation. Meetings, outings, and events are generally allowed on the premise of maintaining basic distancing.
However, for high-risk facilities, if quarantine guidelines are not followed, local government heads may issue administrative orders such as suspension of operations or recommendations for restraint depending on regional characteristics and quarantine situations. Furthermore, public facilities will gradually resume operations after establishing quarantine guidelines considering the risk level of each facility.
