View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) is accelerating the improvement of the residential environment in the urban regeneration New Deal project areas within the district through various initiatives.
To this end, the district is promoting the ‘2020 Jegi-dong Gamcho Village Housing Improvement Support Project’ from this month until October.
This project aims to improve the residential environment and urban aesthetics of the area by supporting repairs of old houses within the Jegi-dong Gamcho Village urban regeneration New Deal project zone.
The district is investing a total of 400 million KRW in urban regeneration project funds, supporting 90% of the construction costs per household, up to a maximum of 11.17 million KRW.
The support targets approximately 300 locations including houses and commercial buildings located within the Jegi-dong Gamcho Village urban regeneration New Deal project area. However, unauthorized or illegal buildings are excluded from support.
Residents wishing to apply for support must prepare the necessary documents such as △application form for the housing improvement support project △construction estimate △construction plan, and visit the Jegi-dong Gamcho Village Urban Regeneration Field Support Center (2nd floor, 122 Anam-ro, ☎6409-1951) in person by the 20th of this month to apply.

In addition, the district will officially operate the Urban Regeneration Field Support Center from the 6th to support the urban regeneration of ‘Jegi-dong Godeaemap Village,’ which was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Urban Regeneration New Deal project in the second half of last year.
The ‘Godeaemap Village Urban Regeneration Field Support Center,’ located at 148 Anam-ro, Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, operates on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is staffed by one office director and three field coordinators who carry out tasks such as △planning resident capacity-building programs (resident contest projects, urban regeneration university, etc.) △education and promotion of urban regeneration New Deal projects.
