Lotte Mart Introduces 6 Types of Vegan Food 'Instead of Meat' Series
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart announced on the 7th that it will launch the 'Instead of Meat' series for the vegetarian population.
The newly launched 'Instead of Meat' series targets children who cannot eat rice without meat or ham, the silver generation concerned about hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis, and vegans who are increasing due to the spread of the 'veganism' trend encompassing vegetarianism.
The 'Instead of Meat' series strives to improve the quality of existing soy meat products, which were dry and had a foreign texture. It features an optimal texture and taste by using konjac and seaweed to create a texture closest to meat.
The 'Instead of Meat' series includes a total of six items such as 'Vegan Seasoned Boneless Fried' and 'Vegan Bite-sized Cutlet,' each priced at 8,980 won. To celebrate the launch of the 'Instead of Meat' series, a 10% discount is offered for purchasing one item, and a 20% discount for purchasing two or more, until the 13th.
Previously, Lotte Mart released 'Hav’eat Healthy Mayo,' made with functional soybeans instead of eggs using purely plant-based ingredients, and held a special exhibition of about 570 vegan products through Lotte Mart's online shopping mall, Lotte Mart Mall.
