[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Air Force 1st Fighter Wing is making every effort to establish military discipline.
The 1st Fighter Wing announced on the 6th that it is actively implementing the ‘Cool Air Force’ campaign to become a cool and confident airman with a strong foundation.
This campaign is an all-Air Force effort to become a trustworthy and reliable military for the public, and it has been conducted for three weeks since the 28th of last month.
As part of the campaign, on the 1st, the 1st Fighter Wing conducted special accident prevention training for key personnel, including unit commanders and chief warrant officers, under the supervision of Commander Kwon Oh-seok (Brigadier General) to create a unit with a strong foundation.
In addition, through a command letter, all unit members were urged to cultivate mature civic awareness and establish military discipline.
From the 4th, the second week, unit- and department-level meetings were held by rank to induce a change in awareness and attitude toward service among all unit members.
Through these meetings, all unit members were led to shift their mindset and voluntarily participate in establishing an advanced military culture where autonomy and responsibility coexist.
At the same time, strict social distancing and mask-wearing will be enforced during the meetings to ensure thorough infection prevention.
Furthermore, the 1st Fighter Wing is conducting a ‘Daily Military Discipline Establishment Campaign’ by setting daily focus points to build a unit with a strong foundation.
Soldiers are practicing compliance with regulations such as dress code checks and traffic rules twice daily according to broadcasts.
In the third week, aiming to ‘Create a Unit United as One,’ efforts will continue for everyone from the commander to privates to become cool and confident airmen with one heart.
All soldiers and civilian employees will hold a ‘Vanguard One-Heart Sports Competition’ and a resolution event to foster pride and a sense of belonging as a proud vanguard.
