View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Ki-dong] The Mokpo City Council (Chairman Kim Hyu-hwan) announced on the 6th that it will hold the 356th extraordinary session for seven days from the 7th to the 13th.
The Mokpo City Council decided to convene the session to approve the 3rd supplementary budget proposal for 2020 in line with the government's supplementary budget and to handle urgent pending issues such as general committee agendas.
The scale of the 3rd supplementary revenue and expenditure budget proposal for the general and special accounts in 2020 is 1.0219 trillion KRW, consisting of 938.6 billion KRW for the general account and 83.3 billion KRW for the special account.
Major agendas to be submitted include 23 various items such as Councilor Kim Gwi-seon's "Ordinance on Supporting the Mokpo City Council of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council," Councilor Jang Bok-seong's "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Supporting Veterans in Mokpo City," and Councilor Moon Sang-su's "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Supporting Small Business Owners in Mokpo City."

Kim Hyu-hwan, Chairman of the Mokpo City Council, said, "Thanks to Mokpo City’s best efforts to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and the citizens who thoroughly followed the high-intensity social distancing and personal hygiene rules, the local spread did not occur," adding, "Now, based on stable quarantine measures, let us do our best to revitalize the local economy."
