Bucheon-si, Recruiting Participants for Hope Savings Account II Phase 2 until the 19th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City, Gyeonggi Province, is recruiting new subscribers for the 2nd term of the Hope Savings Account II until the 19th, targeting households receiving housing and education benefits and the lower-income class.
The Hope Savings Account II is a system where if subscribers save 100,000 KRW monthly for three years, the government adds a 100,000 KRW earned income incentive, allowing them to accumulate up to 7.2 million KRW plus interest as a lump sum.
Eligible applicants are households currently engaged in work with a median income of 50% or less (2,374,000 KRW for a family of four) receiving housing and education benefits, as well as the lower-income class. General households can also join if their income and property meet the lower-income criteria.
Subscribers must continue working while completing education and case management counseling to strengthen self-reliance capabilities, and upon maturity, submit documents proving that at least 50% of the earned income incentive (government support fund) was used appropriately.
