Today, the 3rd Joint Investigation of the 'Icheon Logistics Warehouse Fire' Disaster... Full Effort to Identify the Cause
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Police, fire departments, and related agencies will conduct a third joint on-site investigation at the logistics warehouse fire in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, which resulted in 38 deaths.
The joint investigation team, consisting of 40 members from six organizations including the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency, Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, National Forensic Service, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, is scheduled to carry out the joint investigation at the fire site starting at 1 p.m. on the 6th.
During this third investigation, the police and others plan to analyze combustion patterns to trace the ignition source and closely examine each stage of the work process. Previously, two joint investigations were conducted on the 30th of last month and the 1st of this month, but the exact cause of the fire and the ignition point were not clearly identified.

The fire occurred at around 1:32 p.m. on the 29th of last month at a logistics warehouse under new construction in Moga-myeon, Icheon City, resulting in a tragedy where 38 workers died and 10 were injured.
