[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is holding an online contest titled "Wise Oral Care at Home" to help children develop proper oral care habits.

The submission period is until the 15th, and any elementary school student in Gangbuk-gu can participate.

The contest theme is "Protect Your Dental Health from COVID-19!" with detailed topics including oral care related to bad breath and lifelong dental health maintenance. Participants can freely express their ideas through drawings or slogans according to the theme.

Those who wish to participate can apply via the district office website (Citizen Participation - District Participation section) or by email (eyetoeyes@gangbuk.go.kr). For the drawing category, a photo file of the drawing must be attached.

The district will select winners in the drawing and slogan categories as follows: ▲ 1 Grand Prize ▲ 2 Excellence Awards ▲ 3 Encouragement Awards ▲ 2 Popularity Awards. The winning entries will be announced on the 22nd of next month, and winners will receive certificates signed by the district mayor along with commemorative gifts. The Popularity Award will be given to the work that receives the most votes in an online preference survey, while the other awards will be decided by expert judges.

Additionally, the district plans to actively use the winning works as various educational materials to promote the necessity and methods of oral health care. It is expected to help students, who are spending more time at home due to school delays, understand the importance of dental care.

Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "Oral care habits formed from a young age influence a lifetime," and added, "Through this contest, I hope children will find ways to keep their teeth healthy on their own and put them into practice."
