3 New COVID-19 Cases in China on the 3rd... 'All Imported Cases'
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Three new cases of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported in China. There were 13 asymptomatic infections not included in the official statistics.
On the 4th, the National Health Commission of China announced that three new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in China the previous day. No deaths were reported.
All new confirmed cases were imported from overseas, so the actual number of confirmed cases within China is zero. Two cases were confirmed in Shanghai and one in Shandong Province.
There were 13 new asymptomatic infections, bringing the total number of asymptomatic infections to 962. Asymptomatic infections refer to people who test positive for COVID-19 but do not show symptoms such as fever or cough.
Excluding asymptomatic infections, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China is 82,880, with a total of 4,733 deaths. So far, 77,766 people have been declared recovered.
