View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said on the 4th, "Now is the time to focus our efforts on revitalizing the economy while maintaining vigilance in quarantine," adding, "Above all, it is urgent to protect jobs and stimulate domestic demand through consumption promotion."
Prime Minister Chung presided over the Cabinet meeting held at the Government Seoul Office and stated, "The difficulties in the livelihood economy triggered by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) are increasing day by day."
He emphasized, "Relevant ministries and agencies are requested to prepare additional measures in a timely manner to boost economic vitality and create jobs," and added, "If immediate execution is possible, please proceed swiftly, and if funding is needed, please reflect it in the 3rd supplementary budget."
Prime Minister Chung also mentioned bills that were not passed during the 20th National Assembly, urging, "Each ministry is requested to do their best until the end to ensure that their respective bills pass in this National Assembly."
He also appealed to the National Assembly, saying, "I ask you to achieve a successful conclusion with legislation for the people and the livelihood economy."
