Gangnam Ingong Provides Free Course Vouchers to Low-Income Middle and High School Students Nationwide
Applications Accepted Nationwide Through Local Governments from May 1... Offering Over 900 Courses and Learning Method Mentoring Content
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) Internet Suneung Broadcasting (hereinafter Gangnam Ingang) will provide free course vouchers to low-income middle and high school students nationwide starting May 1.
Amid increased demand for online lectures due to the spread of COVID-19, Gangnam-gu has decided to expand the support target for free course vouchers from the existing local and nationwide low-income students in remote and isolated areas to nationwide students in order to alleviate private education costs and provide equal educational opportunities.
Students can freely take about 900 courses for one year and receive various content such as regular member events and study method mentoring lectures. Related content can be found on the Gangnam Ingang website (edu.ingang.go.kr).
Applications must be submitted to the relevant local government office, and inquiries can be made to the Gangnam Ingang Customer Center (☎1577-9100).
Gangnam Ingang is the only domestic online education site that offers the entire middle and high school curriculum from middle school internal exams to the Suneung (College Scholastic Ability Test), and also holds admission briefing sessions visiting parents and students in small and medium-sized cities nationwide. In addition, last year, it contributed to reducing educational disparities by awarding scholarships totaling 17 million won to 69 students nationwide.
