Gyeonggi-do to Provide 1.2 Million Won Welfare Points to 17,000 Young Workers This Year
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will recruit about 7,000 first-round participants for this year's 'Youth Welfare Points' program from the 1st to the 15th of next month.
The Youth Welfare Points support program targets young people aged 18 to 34 residing in the province who work at least 36 hours per week at small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, or non-profit organizations within the province, earning a monthly salary of 2.5 million KRW or less. It provides welfare points worth 1.2 million KRW annually.
Youth Welfare Points can be used for cultural activities, self-development, health management, and more at the 'Gyeonggi Youth Mall,' an online shopping mall operated by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, which offers about 400,000 products.
Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's 'Jobara' website (https://youth.jobaba.net).
The province will comprehensively review eligibility requirements, monthly salary, length of service, and residency period in Gyeonggi Province, and announce the selection results on May 29.
The province plans to recruit a total of 17,000 participants, including 5,000 each in the second and third rounds this year.
