View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency formed an investigation headquarters with 125 personnel on the 29th to investigate the fire at a logistics warehouse construction site in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
The investigation headquarters is led by Ban Gi-su, Deputy Chief of the 2nd Division of the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency, and consists of 20 members from the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Unit, 40 from the Forensic Investigation Unit, and 34 from the Icheon Police Station's Criminal and Investigation Departments.
The investigation headquarters will work with the National Forensic Service and others to determine the cause of the fire. They also plan to conduct all investigations related to this fire, including verifying compliance with safety measures and checking for violations in fire safety, construction, and electrical regulations.

At around 1:32 PM on the same day, a fire broke out at a logistics warehouse construction site in Moga-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi Province. As of 7:30 PM, 36 people have been confirmed dead. The fire department completed extinguishing operations at 6:42 PM, about five hours after the fire started, and is currently conducting a search for survivors.
