In other regions, daytime temperatures will rise to around 25 degrees Celsius, making it feel somewhat warm if wearing an overcoat during the day.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 29th, the entire country is expected to be clear on the 30th as it lies on the edge of a high-pressure system located east of Japan. Warm southwesterly winds will cause daytime temperatures to rise.
Morning lows nationwide are forecasted to be between 4 and 15 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will increase by 10 to 15 degrees to range from 20 to 29 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in Gumi (29°C), Daegu (28°C), and Pohang (28°C) in Gyeongbuk will soar close to 30 degrees. Seoul’s daytime high will rise to 24 degrees, higher than the 21 degrees recorded on the 29th.
Except for the west coast and some southern coastal areas of Jeonnam, a dry weather advisory is in effect nationwide. From the afternoon, strong winds are expected mainly along the west coast and Gangwon Yeongdong, so caution is advised to prevent fires.
On May Day, the 1st of next month, the country will remain clear, but the central region, excluding Gangwon East Coast, will have mostly cloudy skies until the morning. Light rain may fall in northern Gyeonggi and northern Gangwon Yeongseo between 3 and 9 a.m.
