Gwangyang City Assigns Detailed Road Name Addresses to One-Room and Multi-Family Houses
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 29th, Gwangyang City in Jeonnam announced that it will assign detailed addresses to one-room and multi-family houses.
Detailed addresses are a convenience system that allows one-room and multi-family houses, as well as commercial buildings, to be assigned building, floor, and unit numbers like apartments and multiplex housing, enabling their use as legal addresses. Without detailed addresses, various mail and parcel deliveries can be disrupted, and rapid response by police and fire personnel in emergencies becomes difficult.
Accordingly, the city is accepting applications from owners and tenants of one-room and multi-family houses who wish to receive detailed addresses through the Civil Complaints and Cadastral Division or the town, township, and neighborhood offices. For buildings without applications for detailed addresses, the city plans to assign them ex officio through a basic survey.
