Patent Office Announces Open Recruitment and Hiring of 38 Experienced Grade 6 Examiners

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 29th that it will newly hire 38 personnel, including 13 administrative staff and 25 technical staff, through a competitive recruitment for the position of ‘Grade 6 Examiner for General Service Officials’ from July 12 to 15.
This year, KIPO will select a total of 61 personnel, including 23 in the first half of the year and additional recruitment in the second half. This is a 50% increase compared to last year’s total recruitment of 40 personnel.
Eligibility requires holding a degree (master’s or higher) or a professional qualification (such as lawyer, patent attorney, pharmacist, etc.).
KIPO examiners review whether patents, designs, trademarks, and other intellectual properties created by inventors and companies can be legally protected, thereby granting intangible rights.
