Hampyeong-gun Operates Joint Filing Center for Comprehensive Income and Individual Local Income Tax
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-ik) announced on the 29th that it will establish and operate a joint filing center for comprehensive income tax and individual local income tax at the Gun Dream Start Center for one month starting from the 1st of next month.
Until last year, individual local income tax was filed at the tax office, but from this year, the filing method has been changed to local government filing.
Previously, individual local income tax was filed only at the tax office as an additional tax to national tax (10% of income tax), but from this year, filing is possible at any tax office or local government nationwide regardless of the taxpayer’s location.
Accordingly, the county has prepared a joint filing center on the first floor of the Dream Start Center near the county office and will accept comprehensive income tax and individual local income tax filings at once from the 1st of next month to June 1st.
However, from the 1st to the 25th of next month, only income tax filing for small-scale business operators subject to the simplified expense ratio (types E, F, G) and single-income religious persons (types Q, R) will be accepted.
Taxpayers who do not fall under these categories can file from the 26th of next month.
For civil petitioners who find it difficult to visit in person, electronic filing through online is also available.
Taxpayers with comprehensive income for the 2019 tax year can file comprehensive income tax through the National Tax Service Hometax during the May final filing period, and by clicking the separately prepared individual local income tax filing button afterward, they will be automatically connected to WETAX to easily file individual local income tax.
Also, a pre-filled filing form including filing details and payment amount will be individually sent to small-scale business operators meeting certain conditions.
Simply paying the enclosed bill will be considered as automatic filing without objection.
In addition, to alleviate the economic burden on individual business owners affected by COVID-19, the county will extend the payment deadline for individual local income tax by three months until the end of August.
